To start, just stop talking and start doing!
i9DC was born out of the entrepreneurial desire of its partners, who had a career in infrastructure within large banks and brokerages in Brazil. They already had the technical know-how and were aware of the challenges faced by companies and their clients in maintaining their operations within B3’s data center.
The fact that B3 migrated its data center to Santana de Parnaíba brought improvements in quality and performance to its trading systems. However, it also made it more difficult for analysts from companies to visit the Colocation for on-site tasks such as equipment installation/replacement or specific configurations.
Another important point to mention is the cost of setting up and maintaining infrastructure within B3’s data center. It is challenging to find clients who can bring the return on investment that justifies this expense.
All of these factors led to the creation of i9DC.
When we talk about “Democratizing B3’s Colocation,” we aim to provide our clients with the opportunity to have the best connection to B3’s trading core, along with specialized technical support, all at a cost that justifies this investment.
